The phrase “Bhasha Anek, Bhav Ek” (Language Diversity, One Emotion) emphasizes that despite speaking different languages, we all share the same emotions and feelings. This concept highlights the importance of linguistic diversity and cultural unity. Language is a tool for communication and for sharing human experiences, transcending linguistic boundaries. It encourages us to appreciate and respect diverse languages and cultures. People from different communities express joy and sadness in their own languages, yet emotions are universally understood.
RKM College of Education, a self-financed B.Ed. college, recently organized this programme in accordance with NCTE guidelines, highlighting the importance of linguistic diversity and community interaction.
Day 1: Colourful Rally on “Bhasha Ek, Bhav Ek”
On December 7, 2025, students and faculty members participated in a vibrant rally showcasing the theme “Bhasha Anek, Bhav Ek (Language Diversity, One Emotion)”.
The event aimed to promote awareness about the significance of multilingualism and its role in fostering community interaction.
Day 2: Exhibition on Linguistic Diversity
The second day featured an exhibition showcasing creative works in various languages, highlighting the richness of India’s linguistic heritage. Students presented diverse activities such as:
- Poetry recitation in multiple languages
- Traditional dance performances
The event emphasized the importance of promoting a multilingual culture where students can learn to appreciate various languages.
India is a land of linguistic diversity, with over 1,600 languages spoken across the country. Language helps bridge cultural gaps and promote unity.
BKM College of Education’s celebration of linguistic diversity serves as a model for promoting multilingualism and community interaction.
